Awarding Excellence in the UT Community
Since its founding in 1948 as the Dad's Association, Texas Parents has been an important part of the life and culture of the University. One of the department's objectives is to recognize and honor outstanding University students, faculty and staff as appropriate through scholarships, awards and endowments. These awards are made possible in part because of the generous donations of Longhorn parents/families.

Outstanding Student Award
Awarded to two senior students.
Staff Merit Award
Awarded to outstanding staff members in the Division of Student Affairs.
Mike Wacker Award
Awarded to a student who showed strength in the face of adversity.
Parents' Fund Awards
Awarded to faculty and staff.
