Recognition Awards

Since its founding in 1948 as the Dad's Association, Texas Parents, the Parents' Association of The University of Texas at Austin, has been an important part of the life and culture of the university. One of the Association's objectives is to recognize and honor outstanding University students, faculty, and staff as appropriate through scholarships, awards, and endowments.

Outstanding Student Award

This year marks the 65th anniversary of The Outstanding Student Award. A list of past recipients can be found below.

The Outstanding Student Award recipients received a plaque, a brick paver laid at the Student Services Building in their honor, and a $1,000 grant given in each of their names to the registered student organization or campus program of their choice.
