Family Orientation Student Staff Positions

 

Membership Recruitment Student Leader (MRSL, Summer Employment) - Limited position still available for summer 2016. Click here to apply.

Assist with recruitment of Texas Parent Association members during Family Orientation programs. Assist with gift processing, database entry, and membership benefit fulfillment. Serve as a first point of contact for prospective members and have extensive contact with UT staff members. Assist with special projects in preparation for and execution of membership recruitment during the Family Orientation programs.

Family Orientation Student Leader (FOSL, Summer Employment) - Positions have all been filled for summer 2016.

Assist with Family Orientation, dynamic one-day programs that support the successful transition and orientation of new Longhorn families to the University of Texas at Austin. Serve as the first point of contact for orientation attendees and have extensive contact with UT staff members. Assist with the administration of services and resources for program participants.  Assist with special projects and administrative tasks in preparation for and execution of the Family Orientation programs.

Student Office Assistant, Generalist (As positions become available)

Provide office support for Texas Parents staff. Greet visitors, answer the phone, manage reception traffic and answer questions from Texas Parent Association members, UT parents, students, faculty, staff and the general public. Assist with special projects and administrative tasks in preparation for and execution of Texas Parents programs and events. Experience with Microsoft Office is encouraged. Other duties as assigned.

Student Office Assistant, Communications (As positions become available)

In addition to the duties outlined in the Student Office Assistant, Generalist description, this position will also help to create and distribute messaging to Texas Parents members and the UT community. Assist in preparing content for the monthly Texas Parents newsletter; push out messages through various channels, such as posters and digital slides; assist with preparation for special events; monitor websites for accuracy and consistency; write articles and editorials; and fulfill other duties as assigned.
