Funding Opportunities

Student Enrichment Awards

Texas Parents is proud to offer Student Enrichment Awards (formerly know as Student Enrichment Grants). Awards are given each spring to a variety of registered student organizations and departments within the Division of Student Affairs with the goal of providing funding assistance to applicants who are most successfully working to enhance the student experience at The University of Texas at Austin. Funding is made possible through the contributions and generous donations of university parents to the Texas Parents Giving Program.

Student Enrichment Application Guidelines

Confirm that your organization is in good standing with SALD. Organizations that are not in good standing will not be considered for funding.

Apply by: Midnight, Wednesday, February 17, 2010. Late applications will not be considered.

Email the application to: amandagamble@mail.utexas.edu. This is the only format that will be accepted (no mailed or hand-delivered applications).

Complete the entire application, unless the section is listed as optional. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Ask for reasonable funding:

Texas Parents hopes to help fund your project, rather than paying for it in full.

Last year, the maximum award given to a single organization was $1,500. Average funding for individual organizations was between $300 and $500.

In 2009, Texas Parents received 67 complete award applications and was able to fund 30 organizations in varying amounts, granting a total of $25,000 to registered student organizations and departments within the Division of Student Affairs.

You may direct questions about this application to: amandagamble@mail.utexas.edu.
