Family Orientation
New Student Services, a unit within the Office of the Dean of Students, has planned a day-long program for parents and family members who have new freshman students attending orientation. “Family Orientation” is offered the first day of each freshmen orientation session.
This program is designed to answer many of the questions parents and family members often have as their student enters The University of Texas at Austin. Representatives from many departments on campus advise parents on the services available at UT Austin. Family members also have an opportunity to visit with their student’s college and attend break-out sessions on topics of their choice.
For more information, please contact New Student Services.
Texas Parents volunteers will be available to answer questions and help address parent problems and concerns. We will also be selling Texas Parents memberships and retail merchandise such as t-shirts, polos, caps, mugs, luggage tags and more.
