Advisory Board Texas Parents is governed by an Advisory Board made up of about 75 couples and single parents. Advisory Board members serve a two-year, renewable term as ambassadors for The University of Texas at Austin, assist in planning activities for UT families and support the goals and objectives of Texas Parents. Advisory Board members are expected to maintain a membership in Texas Parents, attend the fall and spring Board meetings, and volunteer at one or more sessions of Family Orientation and/or Family Weekend. They are also expected to participate on one committee of their choice and in the annual membership drive. Advisory Board Spring Meeting The annual spring meeting of the Texas Parents' Association Advisory Board will take place on Friday, October 21, 2011 , from 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. New members and the Executive Committee will meet at 8:30 for new member orientation. The meeting will be held on campus in the San Jacinto Hall Multipurpose Room.
